Yomogi Midorikawa (碧川 よもぎ, Midorikawa Yomogi) is a minor character in the anime series, Tokyo Mew Mew. She only appears in the anime, and only appeared for a scene in one episode.
Family[]
Yomogi is the mother of Uri and Retasu Midorikawa, and the wife of Eizaburou Midorikawa. The family live together in an apartment in Tokyo. Yomogi and Eizaburou are both professors, or teachers. The entire family is unaware that Retasu is a Mew Mew.
Appearance[]
Yomogi has dark green hair which is pleated and hangs over her left shoulder. She wears large glasses like Retasu and Uri.
Personality[]
Not much is revealed about the personality of Yomogi, as she was only in one scene, although she is supportive of Retasu. When Retasu was younger, and friendless, Yomogi and her husband always convinced her to be herself, and that she would one day find true friends.
Etymology[]
- The name Yomogi means "Mugwort" (よもぎ) in Hiragana, which goes along with the green produce theme-naming in the family, shared with both her children.
- Yomogi's surname Midorikawa means "green, blue" (碧) (midori) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa).
